One of the world’s biggest blockchain conferences — Malta AI & Blockchain Summit took place on May 23-24 in the Hilton hotel in St. Julians, Malta. Our delegation took part in this considerable event and we were definitely under the huge impression — there were over 5,500 attendees, many delegates, exhibitors, investors and top speakers, including Roger Ver and Dr Larry Sanger, the co-founder of Wikipedia.

There were many famous speakers, including Joseph Muscat (the Prime Minister of Malta), Bobby Lee, Roger Ver, Tim Draper (remotely), Dennis O’Neill (O’Neill Capital Advisors) and Dr Larry Sanger (Wikipedia and Everipedia). Dr Larry Sanger was discussing the topic of Web 3.0 — «What is web 3.0 and why does it matter?”. Sanger emphasized how social media affect our lives and that Big Tech corporations are currently more and more closely collaborating with governments around the globe. Tim Draper was discussing the topic «Bitcoin: a 21st-century currency renaissance”, Bobby Lee — «The future of digital money”, Dennis O’Neill «Blockchain Investment: Has the industry matured for institutional investors?». Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said: «We must look to make sure other countries embrace this [blockchain] technology”.
Considerable conference
Blocktoq team spent a great time in sunny Malta. We were very glad to take part in this exceptional event. It was the spring edition of Malta AI & Blockchain Summit. The next one will take place on November 7-8. We can’t wait for it!
