A world of big money would be nothing without good marketing – but does it always have to be positive? The creator of the cryptocurrency TRON Justin Sun apparently acknowledges that no matter what they say – important that at all. This time, however, his attitude met with a huge indignation of the majority of the cryptocurrency community. What happened on Twitter today and why is Sun called the ripper?
Did Justin Sun go too far?
Yesterday afternoon, the tragic news spread around the world – Kobe Bryant, a basketball player of worldwide fame, died along with his daughter in a helicopter crash in California. 7 other people lost their lives in the accident, including baseball coach John Altobelli, along with his wife Keri and daughter Alyssa. The world was shaken and the reactions extremely different – mainly, however, there were sympathetic words for loved ones.
Justin Sun also decided to express his opinion about this tragedy – so he released the post on Twitter in which he said that it was great to meet the basketball player during niTROn 2019. He also announced that during this year’s edition of this event his memory will be honored with a moment of silence.

TRON loses in the eyes of fans
The cryptocurrency community did not accept Sun’s entry well – on the contrary, an almost public lynching began. The founder of TRON was named in the responses psychopath and ripper. He was accused of dishonest marketing and preying on the death of a deceased athlete in order to promote the niTROn 2020 gala.
Also at the TRON Foundation post on Twitter, the reactions were not favorable – some fans even declared that they no longer intend to support the Sun project. It was also raised that Kobe Bryant appeared at the niTROn 2019 gala because he was paid for this performance – and that this is not synonymous with the fact that he cooperated with TRON. There were also comments defending Sun – but they were in a clear minority.
Kobe Bryant, 41, the legendary basketball star who spent 20 years with the LA Lakers, passed away today.
Kobe is a member of the TRON Family. As such, we will be dedicating @niTROnSummit's festivities to his legendary life & legacy.

The controversy over Justin Sun
Although, undoubtedly, today’s tweet of the creator of TRON aroused a lot of emotion – this is not the first time that he was on everyone’s lips. It is worth mentioning the famous lunch with Warren Buffet, who was bought at a charity auction for over $4.5 million – and then rescheduled. Sun was supposed to convince the skeptical Buffet that cryptocurrencies have real value, but lunch never took place.
The creator of TRON also declared that he would donate a million dollars to support Greta Thunberg. Also, you cannot ignore the information about the alleged police raid on the TRON office in Beijing, which turned out to be fake news. It’s hard not to get the impression that Justin Sun is trying to be like Elon Musk – a controversial, but successful US businessman – in his actions. For now, the effects of these activities are miserable – the TRON cryptocurrency in 2017 lost over 90% of its value and maintains this level to this day.
