During the AIBC Summit in Dubai we had a chance to talk with Business Developer of SwissBorg – Elena Kulikova. SwissBorg is a platform which allows buying, selling and exchanging cryptocurrencies. Moreover, company was granted with the award at AIBC – mass adoption project of the year 2021 in Dubai.

SwissBorg is a wealth management platform. Every day, they aggregate liquidity from four exchanges and provide best rates on crypto through automated arbitrage. They say about themselves that they are something of a kind of Skyscanner for flights or an Agoda for hotels.
So how does it work? Rather than opening an account with all those exchanges, you open an account with us and get access to the liquidity from those exchanges, from just one account. In addition to that, they have 14 fiat gateways and 15 crypto ones.
What is more, they have a very cool product which is called Smart Yield. Smart Yield is essentially an automated farming account that provides the best risk to interest ratio. Moreover, it allows users to earn interest on Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDC. Soon they will be adding Binance Coin and also Ripple.
Successful team from all over the world
The SwissBorg team has over 100 people from all over the world. They are actually based in Switzerland, in Lausanne. This is where their headquarter is situated. In addition, they have a second, biggest office in Tallinn, Estonia.
The uniqueness of the SwissBorg project
Currently, it is a few companies and the crypto industry that also allow users to buy and sell crypto. Some of them provide yield on cryptocurrencies, but SwissBorg is unique in a sense that they are more moving towards passive forms of investment. They not only allow users access to the crypto market but also give them the opportunity to earn yield on their crypto without obliging active participation in the process.
A glimpse at the future
Personally, Elena would like exchanges to become more accessible to people. She is thinking what they’re doing at SwissBorg will actually serve both retail and institutional investors. Not everyone has the time, she would say even kind of energy to actively look for information and educate themselves. For institutional investors SwissBorg has a very, very good value proposition in a sense. They can earn interest on a corporate treasury and this is a new kind of direction for the company but it’s growing really, really well. Elena just wants crypto exchanges to be more accessible, transparent and fun for both retail and institutional investors.
The biggest challenge for the team was… The Team
We asked Elena what was the biggest challenge while they’re creating and promoting the project and she shared that it was probably creating a very, very good team. But they managed to achieve it! They have a lot of great professionals in marketing and sales and customer service engineering at governance everywhere. So, they’ve put together an amazing team that has a lot of knowledge among very different industries. And this is how they ended up with such an amazing product.
